Leidschendam, 3 September 2020 – Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has announced that Ocean Outdoor Nederland has been selected as media exploitation partner for all digital screens in Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. The company has been selected because of its innovative and spectacular vision that fits well with the ambition level of the Mall. All screens will be visible from the Mall’s opening, which is scheduled for March 2021.

Ocean is a trusted partner for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. The company also provides several digital displays in Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City and in several cities in Scandinavia.

Bart van Twillert, CEO van Westfield Mall of the Netherlands: With Westfield Mall of the Netherlands, we’re realising a unique project in the Netherlands, which also includes a unique Digital Out-of-Home partner. We want to make a day in the Mall a true experience and Ocean’s digital screens will certainly contribute to that. For example, the central plaza, a place where you will find the latest shopping trends, boutiques and pop-up stores, will have a rotating screen of 20 square metres. Such a thing doesn’t yet exist in the Netherlands and that’s precisely why it works so well with this project. In addition, the digital screens are also an important media channel for brands. The Mall is a place where brands can come into contact with about 15 million visitors every year. We know this form of marketing is already being used a lot abroad and we’re now also bringing it to the Netherlands. We’re convinced that this will be a success, especially with an experienced partner like Ocean.”

In addition to the large screen on the central plaza, the Mall will soon have 21 digital totems with a total of 42 screens, of which 17 totems will be placed inside the Mall and 4 outside. In addition, there will be a large, digital screen of 17 square metres outside.

The opening of Westfield Mall of the Netherlands is planned for March 2021. This is also the time when all digital screens will go live. In the near future, Ocean and Westfield will be looking for launching partners who will be visible on the screens during the opening.
